Savannah, GA, September 29, 2023 - Live Oak Public Libraries Forest City Library and Port City Library will be temporarily closed in October for building renovations.
Port City Library will be closed beginning October 9. Forest City Library will be closed beginning October 30. Each closure is expected to last two weeks.
Items due during these closures can be returned to any Live Oak Public Libraries location.
Items on hold will not be available for pick-up at these locations during the closures. To request a different library for holds pickup during the closure, please contact any Live Oak Public Libraries location or through the PINES app.
These renovation projects will include upgrades to the restrooms at Forest City Library and Port City Library. The project will include installation of new fixtures, flooring, and environmentally friendly hand dryers. This work will require temporary closures of the buildings.
We appreciate the community’s patience with this improvement project as we work towards providing more welcoming spaces and a better customer experience for library visitors.
All other Live Oak Public Libraries locations are open with regular hours, and eLibrary digital resources are available online anytime 24/7.
