A Message from Rabbi Bryan Wexler
It was wonderful to see many of you on Rosh Hashanah (and to welcome others via our live streamed services). What a wonderful way to enter the new year of 5784, together as a TBS community! I hope you had a meaningful and enjoyable holiday.
This week, we are in the middle of Aseret Yemei Teshuvah, the Ten Days of Repentance. The ten days from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur are a special time for reflection and self-examination. During these ten days, our tradition invites us to focus on our priorities and values as we think about how we can strive to be better in the year to come.
This is a time for New Year resolutions. What resolutions are you making as we begin the new year of 5784? Resolutions are important, but we also know they are often hard to live up to.

A Message from Executive Director, Ron Safier
Shanah Tovah! I hope this email finds you all safe and well in our first week of 5784. Safety remains a top priority at TBS, and with careful consideration, a high standard of security procedures for the High Holy Days have been put into place. In addition to the security procedures that are in place throughout the year at TBS, Cherry Hill Police, JFED Security, and other professional security personnel will be on site both in the building and in the parking lot during Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur services, as they were during Rosh Hashanah. Extra security personnel will ensure that we have a safe environment for family services that will be conducted in the tent, as well as for the congregational service in the main sanctuary.
Please have your parking pass displayed for security as you enter the parking lot. And please have your High Holy Day tickets ready to display to security as you enter the building. The front, main synagogue entrance will be the only point of entry into the building, and you must have a ticket in order to enter the building. I want to thank and acknowledge RCC Security (Bob), JFED Security, and the Cherry Hill Police Department for helping to keep all of us safe. I also want to send a huge Todah Rabah to the members of our Men’s Club for their assistance in the parking lot.

Are you ready to take the next step in your Jewish journey? If you have always wanted to celebrate your bar or bat mitzvah, or if you missed the opportunity when you were younger, this is your chance to join a supportive and engaging group of adult learners. Beginning in September, you will meet with TBS clergy one or two Shabbat mornings per month to explore the beauty and meaning of Shabbat liturgy and ritual. You will learn from Rabbi Peltz, Rabbi Wexler, and our rabbinic intern, Rabbi Alicia, who will guide you through the service and help you deepen your understanding of Jewish practice. You will also work with Cantor Cohen to learn prayers and a Torah reading to prepare for our adult b’nai mitzvah celebration on May 11, 2024.
