PASRR Transition Overview: Upcoming Webinar & Save the Date for Onsite Training
Tennessee will transition its Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) program to a new Level I process beginning December 1.

Ascend, a MAXIMUS Company, is the state's PASRR vendor, and will begin processing Level I screens on that date. These Level I screens are federally required to occur before an individual admits to a nursing facility. This newsletter is designed to keep you informed of upcoming training events and resources to facilitate this transition.

A graphical overview of the transition basics is provided below (click to view a larger PDF):

Thank You for a Successful Day in the Life with NHC!

As a part of our preparation for training and PASRR transition,  Ascend recently visited with NHC nursing facility providers for a  Day in the Life shadow day. The Ascend team had a great time talking with the NHC team, learning their current processes, and sharing upcoming changes and training information. In the coming weeks, Ascend will be holding additional Day in the Life sessions  with facilities around the state to inform the content for our upcoming onsite trainings. Thank you to NHC for a wonderful visit!
Ascend will continue to reach out to providers with additional information on changes and training opportunities through this email newsletter. Visit our website to learn more about Ascend.

We are privileged to work with you to ensure individuals in Tennessee receive the services and supports they need.
