Executive Director's Message
The go/no-go decision for the start of Tennis Center renovations is getting closer and closer! Rennie Turner, the consultant from Greenspring Solutions that CS4L hired to organize work, travelled to Steamboat this week along with four vendors who have submitted bids for the work. These vendors included representatives for membrane, HVAC, insulation, lighting and court resurfacing work. We expect to receive a letter of intent from the vendor who will serve as General Contractor next week. Once received, the CS4L Board of Directors will decide how to appropriately phase the work based on current funding.
If we raise $300,000 more in the next few weeks, we will likely be able to accomplish the majority of the work in 2025. Bundling most of the work in one year will keep the cost as low as possible and enable the work to be completed in a timely manner.
We know that many of you have already given to the Expansion Project Capital Campaign over the last 4 years. If you have donated to tennis, we can assure you that each and every dollar you donated went specifically to tennis. In fact, $2.018 million was spent on tennis improvements during Phases 1 and 2 of our Capital Campaign Project! Your dollars went directly to the following: 6 rebuilt outdoor post-tension tennis courts and improvements of parking lots with additional spaces. The cost included demo work, site prep, landscaping and other contractor overhead expenses.
We want every donor to know that your donations most assuredly are routed to the cause of your choice. Tennis supporters who donated to the Expansion Project, whether or not you directed your donation towards tennis, can be sure that your donation paid for tennis work.
With gratitude for your past support, I ask you now to help us start the Tennis Center renovations this year by making a donation or pledge to the Courting Love Capital Campaign by March 15. Just imagine having a new membrane, insulation, HVAC and lighting by mid-Fall!

Warmly,
Meg Tully
