National Tennis Month

NTM Takes to the Court with ‘In May, We All Play’ Campaign

Over the last five years, the industry has continued to embrace and support National Tennis Month for the month of May as a way to offer tennis providers a platform they can use to grow the game in their communities. And this year, NTM is getting a brand refresh from the USTA with the “In May, We All Play” campaign.

Sold-Out Event Kicks Off National Hit to Be Fit Weekend

National Hit to Be Fit Weekend kicked off last Friday at the USTA National Campus as the sold-out event had 160 athletes filling 20 courts. It was one of nearly 200 HTBF events around the country for National Tennis Month, showcasing Adult Red Ball Tennis and Cardio Tennis Triples.

USTA Delaware, Wilmington Parks Host ‘Tennis in the Streets’

The USTA Delaware District and Wilmington Parks and Recreation co-hosted the 38th annual Tennis in the Streets at Rodney Square during National Tennis Month, with 400 students participating in free clinics and activities.

Brandon Chubb Leads Retired NFL and Basketball Players to Tennis

To kick off NTM, USTA Atlanta organized the three-day City Tennis Open at Central Park, the brainchild of former NFL player Brandon Chubb, which featured tennis, clinics, STEM activities for students and more.

The Huaxia Chinese School of Lehigh Valley kicked off NTM with its annual Spring Tournament at Parkland High School. Families gathered to celebrate as winners competed for a $400 prize pool, featuring a "One Point Slam" champion.

Six new courts were recently unveiled at Florida’s Wellington Tennis Center, partially funded by a $200,000 grant from the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program, which supports local governments in developing public outdoor recreation areas. 

County Approves $1.3 Million for Court Renovation in Statesboro

The Bulloch County commissioners recently approved more than $1 million to renovate the 10 tennis courts at Mill Creek Tennis Complex in Statesboro, GA.

USTA Florida, City of Vero Beach Extend Contract for Riverside R.C.

USTA Florida and the City of Vero Beach have signed a three-year extension that will keep USTA Florida at the helm of Riverside Racquet Complex, the public facility that serves close to 8,000 players each year.

Nominate Now for 2026 USTA Adaptive Tennis Award 

The USTA Adaptive Tennis Award was established in 2003 to recognize an individual or program that has demonstrated excellence, dedication and service related to tennis for an adaptive community. Nominations close May 31.

Expanding Access with Blind and Low Vision Tennis 

Blind and Low Vision tennis is one of the fastest growing adaptive sports in the world, and recently, a milestone event was held in Southern California. 

BVI Workshop Teaches Techniques to Better Serve Athletes

USTA Arkansas and USTA Southern hosted a Blind/Low Vision Workshop recently at Matrix Racquet Club in Lowell. Participants learned about teaching Blind and Visually Impaired tennis and how to better serve athletes in the adaptive tennis community.
