The 2023 National Tennis Participation Report is now available from the TIA. This year’s report blends data from the Physical Activity Council (PAC) Study, administered by Sports Marketing Surveys, and the National Golf Foundation Participation Engagement Study (PES).

US Open to Celebrate 50 Years of Equal Prize Money
In 1973, the US Open became the first sporting event in history to offer equal prize money to both men and women competitors. This 50th anniversary will be a central theme of the 2023 US Open, and in the nine months leading up to the event.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame will feature the work of pioneering tennis photographer Carol Newsom with a retrospective titled “Hit Me With Your Best Shot!” beginning March 22. Dan Faber, Patrick McEnroe to Lead Hall of Fame

Bob Bryan Named U.S. Davis Cup Captain
Davis Cup champion Bob Bryan has been named the next captain of the U.S. Davis Cup Team. He assumes the role immediately and will make his debut as full-time captain with the U.S. team’s Group Stage Finals matches Sept. 12-17.

The USTA released an updated version of the “Statement of Guidance: Facilities Approach to Tennis and Pickleball,” which covers USTA recommendations for the development, expansion and renovation of public facilities and spaces related to tennis and pickleball.

College Tennis Teams Give Back to Their Communities
