Carol Breslau Joins Board of Directors

Local Leader a Valuable Asset

The Steamboat Tennis & Pickleball Complex is excited to welcome Carol Breslau to its board of directors.

Breslau brings more than 40 years of experience in Colorado’s nonprofit sector. She spent 20 years at The Colorado Trust, including serving as Vice President of Grantmaking, and held senior leadership roles at Mercy Housing, where she helped lead national fundraising and development efforts.

Since retiring in 2019, she has remained active in the community, including serving on the Court Sports for Life Capital Campaign Committee through 2024. A Steamboat homeowner since 2003 and full-time resident since 2020, Breslau is also an avid pickleball player.

Her leadership and experience are expected to be a valuable asset as the club continues to grow.

Road To Paris Continues

Next Stop Washington D.C.

Steamboat Tennis juniors delivered standout performances at the “Road to Paris” U14 tryouts on March 21, earning top finishes and advancing to the next stage of the prestigious competition.

Luca Spickelmier led the boys field with a first-place finish, while Tristan Spickelmier took second. In the girls division, Mia Salinas Gonzalez captured first place, and Elliott Sherman added a strong result with a third-place finish.

The event serves as a qualifying tournament, with top players advancing to Washington, D.C., where they will compete for a chance to win the national title and earn an all-expenses-paid trip to Paris. There, winners will compete in the renowned Open du Stade Français tournament.

The results highlight the strength of Steamboat’s junior tennis program and provide an exciting opportunity for these young athletes to compete on an international stage.
