RCTA RECEIVES $22,000 GRANT
RCTA is excited to announce that we have been selected by USTA Foundation and Southern Tennis Foundation to receive a $22,000 grant to build our capacity to connect tennis and education in 2019 as a National Junior Tennis & Learning Chapter.
Funds will be used to support our Executive Director, a summer NJTL Program and ACE Curriculum coordinator, and our summer NJTL network with seven childcare providers.
AFTER SCHOOL KIDS TENNIS CLUBS
RC Tennis Community Coaches visited Mill Avenue Recreation Center, Williamsburg and Bethany Elementary, Boys & Girls Club of Eden, and Community Baptist Schools during October.
HOLMES MIDDLE SCHOOL PE TENNIS
Coaches Jackie Cantrell and Shelby Rhyne spent two days with PE teacher Susan Carter and her 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls PE classes introducing the sport on Holmes EIGHT red ball tennis courts.
