TennisPlex to host the 2022 Maryland Senior Olympics Pickleball Tournament!

The Montgomery TennisPlex is excited to host the 2022 Maryland Senior Olympics Pickleball Tournament on Friday, August 12th through Sunday, August 14th! This event will mark the largest pickleball tournament in the DMV area, with over 500 players registered in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles divisions. Winners at this event will qualify for the 2023 National Senior Games in Pittsburgh, PA. 

"We're excited to welcome hundreds of pickleball players and fans to the largest racquet sports facility in the DMV," said Jack Schore, Founder and CEO of Montgomery TennisPlex. "Our goal is for people to immediately think of the Plex when they imagine the best place to play pickleball and tennis and we're proud to team up with the Senior Olympics for this tournament." 

The Montgomery TennisPlex is the premiere tennis and pickleball facility in the DMV. Launching on September 8th, 2022, the Plex Pickleball Program will give players year-round access to the TennisPlex’ 8 indoor and 8 outdoor pickleball courts.

"A Big thank you to the Montgomery TennisPlex for hosting the 2022 Maryland Senior Olympics Pickleball Tournament. A record-breaking number of 532 athletes will be competing from 7 states," said Scott Keenum, Co-Tournament Director.

Please note, TennisPlex will not offer tennis court reservations from Friday, August 12 through Sunday, August 14 due to the Pickleball Tournament. TennisPlex will resume tennis court reservations, lessons and group clinics on Monday, August 15.
