Washington Unified School District Signs Tentative Contract Agreement with Teachers Association
On Thursday, September 22, 2016, the Washington Unified School District (WUSD) signed a tentative agreement (TA) to settle contact negotiations with the Washington Teachers Association (WTA) resulting with a three (3) year agreement extending through June 30, 2018.
A few highlights of the agreement are:
2.2% Raise 2015-2016
1% One-time Off Salary Schedule for 2015-2016
4% Raise for 2016-2017
2% Raise for 2017-2018
1.2% Raise to Salary for two Professional Development Days
$600/year increase to District contribution to health benefits
After 12 hours of negotiations yesterday the parties signed a tentative agreement. The TA will be taken to the teachers for ratification, and then to the School Board.
