Take Your House Off The Menu!
Termites Are Some of the Most Destructive Pests in the World.
Subterranean termites cause an estimated $5 Billion in structural damage in the United States each year. Unfortunately, many homeowners are unaware of a problem until the damage is done. A termite infestation can go undetected for years with no outward visible signs, but there are a few things you can watch for. The following are 4 common signs that you may have a termite problem.

1- MUD TUBES - Subterranean termites create mud tubes to protect the colony, conserve water, and connect their underground colonies with the above-ground food source. While these tubes are not very large, you can still see these mud tubes. They are made from small particles of wood, debris, and soil.
Early spring is typically the time when subterranean termites begin to swarm. With warming temperatures and a lot of humidity, the conditions are perfect for termites.
2- DISCARDED WINGS - Small discarded wings in your window sill or spider webs are fairly common to see in the early spring during swarming (mating season). When Texas has a major shift in temperature after rainfall it is common for termites to swarm and make new colonies.

3- UNEVEN OR BUBBLING PAINT - If you see uneven or bubbling paint in your home, take a closer look. This is often a sign of moisture build-up, which could mean one of two things – water damage or termites.

4- DROPPINGS - Just as with any other pest that enters a home, termites will leave droppings behind as they move through a home. Termite droppings look a lot like sawdust with a unique difference - termite droppings have six sides and look like little granules.

Stride's Termite Warranty!
We use Termidor® HE, the highest grade product on the market – giving you up to 15 years of protection from termites in Austin. All of our termite treatments come with a 1-year written warranty which can be extended up to 15 years for an annual fee. This warranty is also transferable to a new owner if you move. Termidor is safe to use around children and pets when applied professionally by our trained technicians.

For Realtors and Home Buyers, we also offer a Wood Destructive Insect Report (WDI) for an additional fee.
To treat Subterranean Termites properly, we dig a small trench around the entire foundation (1-2” deep). This trench helps the products flow down and be absorbed into the soil surrounding the structure. If concrete is abutting the home or business, we may need to drill a few small holes. We also treat the plumbing penetrations to make sure there is no way termites can access your home or business.
Ask us today about our single application, Termite Prevention Treatment, and keep your structures free of termites for up to 15 years!
