"No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn. April is a promise that May is bound to keep, and we know it." – Hal Borland

Literary Blooms Arrangements at the Tewksbury Public Library

April's "Showers"-themed bouquet created by Lisa Bengtson-Gill.

Monthly Meetings

In April we learned about pollination, important insects, native plants, resources and more from our own Susan Young.

Garden Therapy

Blair House's creation "was perfect, down to the smallest detail. The ladies loved it!"

Elaine showed the beautiful flower creation for Bayberry's monthly visit.

Arbor Day Celebration

On April 26 the Tewksbury Public Library thanked the Arbor Day Committee, including Susan Young and Pam Meroski, the Town Manager's Office, Select Board, Tewksbury DPW, Tewksbury Telemedia, The Friends of the TPL, Tewksbury Garden Club, and community members for attending TPL's Arbor Day Celebration! TPL is now home to two native trees: a tulip tree and a black gum tree located right in the library's backyard. These trees will grow for many years to come to support native wildlife and pollinators.

ACE Committee Update

The ACE Committee was busy refreshing the Library and Town Hall with container plants and organizing the cleaning up the garden beds for Spring.

Happy Travelers

On April 13 there was a tour of the Lowell Cemetery. Roberta Kane reports "We enjoyed a wonderful tour of this beautiful Cemetary with Michael Lally as our guide. Michael entertained us with tales and historic information. We didn't see our Lion as he was still under his wooden cover to protect him from N.E. winters. Lunch at The Tavern on the Square. It was a fun day."

Art in Bloom

What an amazing display of community art pieces complimented by our creative floral interpretations this past weekend at the library.

Trish shared "Art in Bloom was a complete success! The Art in Bloom Committee was so organized and prepared us very well. Choosing the artwork must have been so difficult. Kudos to them!!"

Thank you to everyone who thoughtfully created a design, and to those who greeted visitors and even hosted tours. The event was inspiring!
