Monthly Meetings

On October 11th we took care of business, then we decorated make & take pumpkin floral arrangements.

All materials were supplied, many brought greens from home, and everyone added their own creativity!

Food Pantry Donations

Thanks to everyone who brought in October's items for the Food Pantry!

A Note from our President

I was lucky to attend the New England Garden Club Annual Meeting in Plymouth, Oct 10-11. There I met our National Garden Club President, as well as our MA Federation President. While there I made many new friends and learned a lot about garden clubs in the region. In the fall the NEGC creates a newsletter of all the exciting things happening within New England. Here is a link to this wonderful publication called Northern Exposure. -Trish Keddie

Highlighting our Board Roles

Interested in a board position? Who knows? It’s hard to say if you don’t know what each position entails. So, each month, we’ll highlight one Board position so there will be no mystery!

PRESIDENT: The president guides the club and directs the club for her term, which can be one or two years. During the summer the president writes a message defining a goal for the year. She is the liaison between the Tewksbury Club and the Garden Club Federation of MA, of which we are a member club. The president is responsible for securing a meeting place for the year, which in our club means, filling out a form with the Senior Center during the summer to secure dates and ensure no conflicts occur. The President sets the agenda and presides over the “meeting” portion of our monthly gathering and the monthly Board meeting. In addition, the President is an ex-officio member of all standing committees, which means she is welcomed on all committees and is there to assist them when needed.

Newsletter Submissions

Please submit all information you'd like to see included in future newsletters to tewksburygardenclubnewsletter@gmail.com before the 25th of each month.
