PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT

Behavioral Healthcare Crisis Services
Texana's Behavioral Healthcare Services provides assessment, treatment and supportive assistance to those affected by serious and persistent mental illness. Generally services are provided in an outpatient setting, but sometimes an individual may be in a mental health crisis. A mental health crisis is any situation in which a person' actions, feelings and behaviors can lead to them hurting themselves or others. Texana provides several 24 hours, seven days a week crisis services that can help. Our Crisis services are provided to current clients as well as those individuals who are not currently receiving Texana services.  Crisis services are available to children, adolescents, and adults.
Our Mental Health Crisis Hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by a qualified mental health professional.  If a face-to-face screening is needed, a crisis screening will be arranged in the safest environment for the individual and the Texana Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT).

1-800-633-5686
MCOT is a team of professionals on hand to assist during a mental health crisis. They assess and help individuals as effectively and efficiently as possible and in the least restrictive environment.  The goal is to assist in determining the next course of action by providing referrals to an array of community resources.
Our Texana Crisis Center provides an Extended Observation Unit and a Crisis Residential Unit for adults aged 18 and up who are low income, uninsured or have Medicaid.
Texana's Mobile Outreach Crisis Team recently had their first opportunity to participate in the Ride Along Program with our community partners from the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Crisis Intervention Team.
Representative Jacey Jetton, Texas House of Representative District 26, mat with several of Texana Center's Senior Leadership to learn more about our services.
Our Crisis Center was the recipient of not just this beautiful octagon bench, but also two freestanding benches thank to Ocsar Guiterrez, who constructed the benches as part of his Eagle Scout project. “Everyone has truly enjoyed this benches and we cannot thank Oscar enough”, said Eilean Mackenzie, Crisis Center Manager.

Eliean Mackenzie, Texana Crisis Center Manager, has been nominated for the National Council on Wellbeing's Lifetime Achievement Award. Eilean has served thousands of clients throughout her lifetime in a variety of settings touching a broad range of focus areas. In all cases, Eilean sees people first and she brings hope and positivity to each personal interaction.

Thank You for Your Support
Texana Center was granted $9,700 in December from the Fort Bend Junior Service League. We are honored to be one of 26 beneficiaries of the 20th Anniversary Sugar Plum Market, the primary fundraiser for the Fort Bend Junior Service League. These funds are being used outfit our new bridge class in our Children's Center for Autism at Rosenberg.
Thank you to Civilcorp, LLC for their recent donation of $2,000 to the new Texana Center at Fulshear campus - home to the 3rd location of the Children's Center for Autism, the new Center for Advancement and future Texana Cafe.
Thank you to EcoLab Foundation for their gift of $5000 to assist in the refurbishment of our Children's Center for Autism Bridge Classroom in Rosenberg. Your gift will truly help make a difference in the lives of our
autism children and their families.
Texana Center also welcomed the Fort Bend Leadership Forum Class of 2022 from the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce. The group heard all about the latest happenings at Texana and out our Mental Health First Aid training.
The team from Rejuven8 Medical in Sugar Land graciously donated $500 towards our 2nd Annual Christmas at Texana holiday light display.

We are so thankful for their support and additional support from Home Depot and Target in Rosenberg, and Ace Hardware and Randall's in Pecan Grove.
Spreading Holiday Cheer!
Texana’s Intellectual Disabilities Divisions did a fantastic job spreading Holiday Cheer! The 2nd Annual Christmas at Texana was a drive-thru holiday decoration and light display was held for our many families and the community. The “Big Guy” himself also took time away from his workshop to spread some cheer to attendees!
