Education

Partnerships

Giving

Among the highest of priorities is to create a one-of-a-kind, world-class digital archive and repository to celebrate and capture our members and Texas golf history as a whole. In addition, there will be strong emphasis placed on content creation for enhanced social media platform presence. Click below to see the plan in full.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Katie Manor

A Note from the Chairman

Reid Meyers

Since assisting with the resurrection of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame in 2009, it has been my strong desire to have a strategic plan for its future. Now that we have one in place, it is our responsibility as caretakers of golf in Texas (you, me and everyone else involved in the game in our state), to ensure that the goals are achieved.

This means keeping the Texas Golf Hall of Fame top of mind as we interact with golfers, members, friends, family. It means considering a donation to our initiatives so we can develop content for distribution. Even simply following the Hall of Fame on social media platforms helps bring more awareness to golf in our great state.

My wife, Ann, and I have pledged a gift toward our social media initiative. Even an old guy like me realizes how important a role these online platforms play in best telling the stories of our members and golf in Texas.

I urge you to contact to me and/or Katie to learn about how you can best support the Hall.

From the Executive Director

Katie Manor

In graduate school, my thesis project was to create a comprehensive strategic plan for the university's athletics department using applied theories and practical studies. Little did I know that more than a decade later, I would go through a similar exercise to put together a robust plan for the future of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame.

For what it's worth, I successfully defended my thesis.

As Executive Director, having a road map chock full of goals, initiatives, ideas, and plans makes my job all the more exciting. I know exactly what is expected of me and we have strategies to ensure success. We have a clear vision as to what our priorities are as an organization. So now begins the fun part - executing every single one over the coming years.

One of our main priorities for 2022 is to rapidly enhance our social media presence. We have brought on a consultant formerly with the PGA Tour Media team, to assist us with content management and social media engagement. You will see a robust campaign over the coming months to bring more eyeballs to our organization through Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Although my nine-year-old son was a great help as I attempted to navigate posts, stories and reels, the Texas Golf Hall of Fame is in a much better spot under the watchful eye of an expert in the field.

Make sure to get your 2022 nominations in by April 29 and do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
