Families from Area around Guadalupe, River Receive Help

Pastor Thierbach and Mr. Daigle

God has richly blessed the work of Pastor Thierbach, reaching many people with Gospel and physical help. The following written accounts demonstrate God's ministry blessings.

"Henry Daigle was awakened by his dog and felt his bumper pull camper begin to shift and move. He went out in knee deep water with his dog and got to his truck in time to drive to higher ground. His camper was a total loss and Samaritan’s Purse aided him to secure another camper, but his personal belongings and tools were lost. We had prayer together and he earnestly listened to the Gospel. He knew it was the mercy of God that he and the dog made it out."

Below is the account of a father and son who both had damage and loss from the Guadalupe, River.

"Kent Richardson and his wife were awakened by a phone call from his brother on the morning of the 4th. Their home is well above the normal level of the Guadalupe, but on this morning, the water was already rising in their front yard and soon rose to some 6 feet in their home. Sizable trees were snapping under the pressure

of the rushing waters. They escaped to the attic until rescued.

Thankfully Coe (son), his wife and 4 children were out of town on the 4th, but their bumper pull trailer and truck were washed away. Samaritan’s Purse helped him to replace both however, clothes, tools and the like were lost. I prayed with them both and they gladly listened to Gospel."

A believer praises the Lord for saving his life.

"Greg Adkins was awakened by popping noises and flashes of light. He went to the front door and upon opening saw a power pole with transformer fall and explode when it hit the water. In just a few minutes the water had gotten to the top of his truck tires, and he was able to drive out to safety. He claimed to be saved and was so grateful to God and us for the assistance."

The concerns that occur in a flood event can go far beyond loss of property. Fear of loss of life can create anxiety that makes loss of property mean nothing. This lady received good news about threatened loved ones.

"Kathryn Loeffler was out of town on the morning of the 4th and learned from her daughter that she and her 4 granddaughters were rescued from Camp Mystic and all were safe and sound.

She is one of 13 homes without potable water from a live spring where the piping was damaged by flood waters."

All of these families received at least $1000 from ORH through Pastor Thierbach's efforts. We are also expecting many more needs to be forthcoming. Pray for Pastor and for Micah Winsley who is working with him until August 21st, at which time Micah will return home to Ohio for college.

Workers are needed to help Pastor Thierbach to reach hundreds with Gospel and with physical help.
