Welcome to the first official AMHA newsletter! This newsletter is for the Texas Junior Stars families only because your season has begun and you are registered on our AMHA website. Program wide newsletters will be sent out monthly. All newsletters will be saved inside the "in the news" section of the austinmetrohockeyassociation.org website.  We are looking forward to an awesome 2017-2018 season! Below, you will find important Texas Junior Stars program information.

AUSTIN METRO HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
Communication

The Austin Youth Hockey programs merged this past spring, creating a new Association called the Austin Metro Hockey Association (AMHA). The Board is comprised of individuals from the Pond Hockey Club, Chaparral Ice and the community at large.

The Austinmetrohockey.org website has been created. On this website, both the Junior Stars Travel teams and the Austin Metro Hockey League teams can find all pertinent information about their program, including, schedules, teams rosters, and recent news.

You all have been receiving all Association information through the rinks (Chap and Pond). Now that you are registered on the AMHA website, you will receive all information from the AMHA. You will only receive newsletter and team emails if you are registered on the AMHA website.

Communication Breakdown:

  • All team and schedule information will be posted or emailed through the AMHA sport engine website from your coach or team manager.
  • You will receive monthly or bi weekly program wide newsletters from the AMHA (like this one). This will include BOTH travel and in-house league news.
  • Monthly emails will be posted to the "in the news" section of the AMHA website
  • The rinks will continue with their own monthly newsletters, but after September will not be distributing AMHA information

IHAA
IHAA, your Parent Run and Community Supported organization, is excited about the upcoming Season.  We’ve been working on a few things to get things rolling to assist our hockey families.

SPIRIT WEAR:   We’ve opened a Spirit Store ( www.bsnsports.com ,  CODE:stars2G4Q) for  your Texas Jr Stars apparel needs.  The shop closes on Aug. 7 (no exceptions) so that our spirit wear can be produced and delivered before our Leveling tournament.

FUNDRAISING:  We’re offering our hockey families an opportunity to fundraise with Popcornopolis for YOUR hockey season.     We’re excited to share that IHAA is allowing  100%  of the funds raised by each player go back into your pocket.  This is the perfect tool to help cover the costs of your season fees, apparel,  and upcoming travel expenses.   Participation will be optional.    Details about the fundraiser will be released soon.

POKER TOURNAMENT:  Save the Date:  September 24 @ Sideline Sports Grille, 2pm-5pm.  All proceeds will support IHAA.
