MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE FAMILY

Robert Earl Keen is reviving his "Merry Christmas from the Family" show.

"The Spirit of Christmas is not about just the actual day of the holiday but getting everyone in the spirit of the holiday for the whole season. Dressing up, singing songs, and being a little cheeky is what it’s all about. Giving the gift of the holiday spirit to all you wonderful fans is our goal, and we hope you walk out of the show with the spirit inside of each you, to share with others," Keen posted on socials.

This year’s theme of “Lights, Camera, Christmas!” will bring families together through the lens and journey of music from classic movies we have all watched.

The Christmas show will include classic holiday hits, as well as songs that are not traditional Christmas songs, alongside Keen's perennial favorites.

Hudson Westbrook got a nod from Us Weekly as one of the standout performances from Austin City Limits Festival 2024.

With more than 15 million streams on all his releases since April, Westbrook is the artist to watch for 2024.

His current single "Two Way Drive" is driving its way to the top 10 on the Texas charts.

NAILED IT!

Cody Johnson nails his rendition of the King of Country's hit song, "The Chair", at the Songs and Stories of Dean Dillon tribute show earlier this week. See the clip HERE.

Other performers included George Strait, Vince Gill, Ronnie Dunn, Zach Top, Lee Ann Womack and more. The concert was filmed for a TV special to air at a later date.

It's no secret that Dean Dillon is the writer behind Strait's biggest hits, and it is said that this repertoire includes more than 60 songs for him.

Dillon has also written hit songs for many other artists, and he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002 and received the T3R Texas Music Awards Lifetime Achievement award in 2019.

The Powell Brothers make their Opry debut on Friday, October 19th.

Wade Bowen performs on the Opry on 10/22 and Vince Gill will be there. Wonder if they will sing "A Guitar, A Singer and a Song" together?

Down Under - The Texas Country Music Festival will return to the land down under in September 2025. The festival is held in Austrailia's Texas, located at the border of New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland.
