The Gathering for Tommy Alverson at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth drew significant support from the Texas music community on Sunday night. Artists like Cody Jinks, Gary P. Nunn, and Deryl Dodd attended, and an auction featuring art, music, and trips raised thousands for Tommy's medical expenses.

"It appeared that most of the Texas Music scene was there in person and others in spirit and heart. Tommy has given so much over these decades, it was easy to understand why Texas turns out to support, love and watch over he and his family when they need it," said Michael White, PD of Real Texas Radio.

Change Up in the Musicfest 2025 Lineup

MusicFest 2025 announced Robert Earl Keen will not perform at Musicfest Steamboat in 2025 due to unforeseen family scheduling conflicts. He shared his regrets and looks forward to future shows. MusicFest wishes him the best and hopes to see him return soon. Dickson Productions appreciates his past contributions to the event.

Artist Joshua Ray Walker announced he is cancer-free, with no traces of cancer remaining in his body. This news follows his earlier report of being in stage 4 of colon and lung cancer earlier this year.

Cloud Covered Streets: The fundraiser to benefit Cloud Covered Streets raised $102,000 for Cloud Covered Streets at the Longhorn Saloon in Fort Worth this past weekend. Cloud Covered Streets is a 501c3 that operates mobile shower/laundry trailers, clothing and other resources for those affected by homelessness.

Mr. Bojangles: Primary Wave will partner with Jerry Jeff Walker’s estate on his music catalog, including recording copyrights and royalties. His recorded masters will be released in partnership with his label Tried & True Music through Sun Records.
