Hudson Westbrook Hits #1 on the Texas Regional Radio Report

After a breakout debut with "Take It Slow" in 2024, Hudson Westbrook is quickly making his mark as a rising country singer-songwriter. Self-taught and rooted in the Red Dirt tradition, the Texas native blends organic country-rock with a fresh, modern edge.

Raised in Stephenville, Texas, Westbrook's influences range from George Strait to gangsta rap. He picked up guitar in 2020 and wrote his first song in 2023, with "Take It Slow" becoming an instant hit. He followed up with tracks like "Two Way Drive," "5 to 9," and the nostalgic "Johnny Walker," showcasing his evolving songwriting skills.

Now on the road, Westbrook is touring non-stop, headlining sold-out shows and opening for all the A list artists. His debut EP, featuring his #1 song "Two Way Drive" is out now.

Cody Johnson’s true Christmas Miracle Story

Before Cody Johnson became famous, he and his wife Brandi were struggling financially, living paycheck to paycheck. They had just given their last $20 to Cody’s parents for Christmas, not knowing they'd have to wait until January for his next paycheck.

Listening to Merle Haggard’s “If We Make It Through December,” they both cried, overwhelmed by the stress. At the time, Cody was working as a prison guard while writing songs.

Miraculously, two checks totaling $5,000 from ASCAP arrived in the mail, providing a lifeline. He shared this story on the CMT Christmas Special. Watch it HERE..

Sundance Performing After Shooting

Sundance Head performed for the first time since being accidentally shot in November, at Love and War in Plano, TX, this past Friday.

He told NBC 5’s Meredith Yeomans that he’s a lucky man and the doctor said he had nine lives.
