Congratulations to Randall King and his fiancé Brittany Warthan on the arrival of their daughter, Paisley Leanna, born on April 3rd! Her middle name is a heartfelt tribute to King’s sister, Leanna, who passed away five years ago.

Koe Works at Raising Canes, Gets a Tattoo & Appears at Coachella

Texas Music Superstar Koe Wetzel spent a day working as a crew member at Raising Cane’s Dallas-area Restaurant Support Office including filming comedic skits with founder Todd Graves. At one point, Graves even tattooed a chicken finger on Wetzel’s thigh—though the final result hilariously resembled the state of Kentucky, complete with Graves' initials “TG.”

Economic Boom

The sold-out “Boys from Oklahoma” concert weekend in Stillwater brought in nearly $2 million in sales tax revenue and as reported earlier in TMD, over $4 million in sales with profits directed towards Oklahoma State University’s NIL fund. The four-day event at Boone Pickens Stadium reunited Cross Canadian Ragweed and featured Red Dirt favorites like Turnpike Troubadours, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, as well as Stoney LaRue.

Larry Joe Taylor's Texas Music Festival

The 36th annual Larry Joe Taylor Texas Music Festival kicks off TODAY bringing together some of the biggest names in Texas Music. Fans can look forward to electrifying performances from Randy Rogers Band, Casey Donahew, Wade Bowen, William Clark Green as well as rising stars Hudson Westbrook and Ty Myers.

The Red Dirt Proud Radio Minute Launches

Red Dirt Proud host JB Cloud is launching the Red Dirt Proud Radio Minute, delivering Texas Red Dirt News in daily one-minute segments, Monday through Friday, to affiliates at no cost. JB, a contributor to Texas Music Daily, hopes the show will help stations generate revenue through local advertising and sponsorships.
