Randy Rogers Day

The City of Cleburne, Texas officially proclaimed May 31st as Randy Rogers Day, recognizing his deep hometown devotion and remarkable success as a Texas Country music star. In celebration of his achievements, Rogers was honored with a Key to the City. A proud native of Cleburne, he spent his early years there and graduated from Cleburne High School.

The Randy Rogers Band single "Break Itself" is currently top 10 on the Texas charts.

Miranda Lambert Named Texas State Musician

Texas Music Superstar Miranda Lambert has been named the 2025 Texas State Musician – Nonclassical by the Texas State Legislature, a prestigious honor recognizing her outstanding contributions to the music industry. As part of the Texas State Artist program, this designation celebrates Lambert’s artistic excellence and lasting impact on country music. The program, managed by the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA), highlights influential artists across various disciplines, offering them statewide recognition and opportunities to engage in TCA events and initiatives.

Shane Smith & The Saints announced they will be crossing the pond and playing "Down Under" in Australia this October 2025.

One Million Reasons

Rising Texas Music artist Tristan Roberson has earned a significant milestone in his career, receiving a prestigious plaque commemorating one million digital streams for his streaming song, "Rough Spot."

Meanwhile, Roberson's latest radio single "One Night in Dallas" continues to gain momentum as it rocketed up 23 spots from 65* to 42* on Week 2 at the Texas Regional Radio Report this week.

House Gift

The King of Country, George Strait, has generously presented his 124th home to Sgt. Derek Austin, a wounded veteran and Purple Heart recipient. Through the Military Warriors Support Foundation, Strait gifted Austin a brand-new mortgage-free home, honoring his service and sacrifice.

Condolences: Texas Music Daily offers its heartfelt condolences to the family of "The Red Dirt Legend" Brandon Jenkins following the passing of his father, Dean, this weekend. Brandon, who passed away on March 2, 2018, is remembered for his lasting impact on the music community.
