In the Wake of the Floods, the Texas Spirit Shines Through

While today’s headlines and social feeds often dwell on the darker side of humanity, the response to this week’s flooding in Texas has reminded us that compassion still runs deep. Texans—and countless others across the country—have rolled up their sleeves to help neighbors, strangers, and entire communities rebuild and recover.

The Texas Music community is no exception. This week, they’ve shown up with heart, hustle, and harmony, proving once again that when the Lone Star State hurts, its artists rise. Here's a look at some of the heroes who have Stepped Up.

Thanks to the Chad Cooke Band for posting a list of artists who have stepped up. Texas Music Daily has added a few more names of artists whose contributions deserve to be recognized and celebrated. When crisis hits, they don't hesitate—they Step Up. And in times like these, that kind of spirit sings louder than any storm.

Bottom line: Texas Music artists are more than entertainers.

William Clark Green Got His Dad's Guitar Back!

Back in October 2024, Texas Music Daily shared a personal appeal from William Clark Green, who was searching for his father’s guitar—missing for over 17 years. That call for help echoed across social media, and once again, the digital community came through.

The guitar was found in a place no one expected: a pawn shop owned by one of Will’s childhood friends. Still adorned with his old capo and bearing his carved initials, the instrument had quietly resided in the friend’s father’s private collection all these years. When the guitar was returned, they only asked for the original purchase price—and declined the $3,000 reward.
