Jaydon Grissom Takes "Better Off Alone" On The Road

Jaydon Grissom is a rising singer-songwriter from Lubbock, Texas, whose sound is as raw and real as the West Texas back roads he grew up on. Rooted in southern values and steeped in Lone Star pride, his music blends lyrical grit with heartfelt honesty—bringing country back to its unpolished core.

Jaydon’s journey began in 3rd grade at Lubbock’s School of Rock, where he first felt the pull of music. Inspired by Texas storytellers like William Clark Green and Josh Abbott, he crafts songs that celebrate life’s quiet moments and big milestones. Abbott, a guiding force in Jaydon’s career, produced his debut single “Better Off Alone” and continues to mentor him as he steps into the spotlight.

With deep respect for the hard road artists traveled before the digital age, Jaydon looks ahead with a clear vision: “My hope for the near future is that we can get a bunch of shows going and prove to everyone why I have a right to be on that stage.”

His dream? To share the stage with George Strait at the Houston Rodeo—and one day, write alongside Willie Nelson.
