It's National Radio Day!

National Radio Day is celebrated on 8/20 world wide to recognize radio's invention as a major form of mass media. The day celebrates all that formats, news and information that radio carries.

It is said that the date was chosen to honor the first broadcast by Detroit radio station 8MK (now WWJ) in 1920 even though this was not the first station to broadcast in the US.

Texas Music Daily salutes radio and thanks you for your continued dedication to Texas Music and the artists. Thank you to those who submitted photos below.
