It's National Radio Day!

National Radio Day is celebrated on 8/20 world wide to recognize radio's invention as a major form of mass media. The day celebrates all the formats, news and information that radio carries.

It is said that the date was chosen to honor the first broadcast by Detroit radio station 8MK (now WWJ) in 1920 even though this was not the first station to broadcast in the US.

🎶 Texas Legends Take the Spotlight 🎶

George Strait and Miranda Lambert will be honored as two of the four inductees at the 20th Annual Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Association celebration, set for February 21, 2026, at ACL Live in Austin. Joining them in this prestigious class are the late Keith Gattis and acclaimed songwriter-producer Don Cook—each recognized for their lasting impact on the Texas music legacy.

Whiskey Myers Ignites the Track

Whiskey Myers is revving up for a double debut—“Time Bomb,” a high-octane track from their upcoming Whomp Whack Thunder album (dropping September 26), will be featured on the official iRacing NASCAR 25 soundtrack, launching October 14.

COJO Rodeo Houston Tickets on Sale Thursday

Saddle up, COJO fans! The tickets for Cody Johnson's full-length Rodeo Houston concert go on sale Thursday, August 21 at 10 a.m.

Johnson will close out the 2026 Rodeo Houston Season. It will be his sixth time playing the prestigious event. The show takes place on March 22, 2026.
