Happy Birthday to Texas Music Daily!!

Texas Music Daily celebrates its first birthday today!

an award-winning collaboration by Greg Sax and Tami Millspaugh — was born out of a simple truth: Texas Music deserved its own daily voice. Inspired by what Country Aircheck does for mainstream country, we created a space to spotlight our artists, celebrate our radio stations, and connect the vibrant Texas Music community.

Over the last year, we have had viral social videos, hate comments, lots of love and reached over a half a million people with the best music in the world.

We welcome press releases about Texas Music artists and radio station accomplishments! If you’ve got something to share, send it our way, and we’ll help spread the word through our daily email. It’s all about showcasing the soul, grit, and greatness of Texas Music to the world.

Here's A RICH Question: Beans or No Beans?

Rich O'Toole isn’t just known for his powerhouse vocals—he’s also a die-hard foodie. His socials are a smorgasbord of tacos, pizza, and just about every crave-worthy bite you can imagine. But nothing stirs the pot quite like his unapologetic love for chili with beans—a culinary choice that sends many Texans into a slow-simmer.

This past weekend in Plano, that simmer boiled over. While other artists are dodging beer cans on stage, Rich got beaned—literally. A fan hurled two cans of beans mid-performance, making it clear that in Texas, chili debates aren’t just spicy—they’re personal.

Rich's current single "Fourth of July" is top 20 on the Texas charts!

Check Yes or No

It’s not the guitar George Strait strummed on stage—but it’s close. As part of Gruene’s 39th annual Food & Wine Festival, fans will have the chance to bid on guitars autographed by the King of Country himself.

Gruene Hall holds a special place in Strait’s story—it’s where he cut his teeth in the early days of his legendary career. This year’s festival runs from October 9–12, 2025, and promises a standout lineup of artists, flavors, and fan experiences.
