Remembering Charlie

Today marks two years since the passing of Texas Music legend Charlie Robison. Known for his gritty vocals, rebellious spirit, and vivid storytelling, Robison helped shape the sound of independent country across the Lone Star State. Though his voice was silenced in 2018, his influence still echoes through the artists he inspired—and the fans who keep his songs alive.

TCMA Songwriter Winners

The Texas Country Music Association has announced the winners of its 2025 TCMA Songwriter Contest, spotlighting standout talent from across the Lone Star State. Among those honored are Texas Music artists Curtis Grimes, Tristan Roberson, Chaser Crouch, and Aaron Loy—each earning the chance to take the stage at Billy Bob’s Texas on November 9th, where they’ll perform their winning songs live during the Texas Country Music Awards ceremony.

Pat Green Live Album

Pat Green is set to record his next live album over two nights—November 7th and 8th—at the legendary Luckenbach Texas Dancehall. This marks his 17th performance at the iconic venue, which holds deep personal significance for the Texas artist, including his wedding in 2000. The event pays tribute to Jerry Jeff Walker’s Viva Terlingua, recorded in the same space in 1973.

Fans will be part of the experience, with special guests (yet to be announced) joining Pat on stage. It’s a rare chance to witness a new chapter in Texas Music history unfold in real time.
