🔥 WHO IS BEHIND TEXAS MUSIC DAILY? 🔥

Texas Music Daily is the brainchild of seasoned industry veterans Greg Sax and Tami Millspaugh.

Few people know that Greg and Tami have been married for 27 years. They saw the need for a centralized source of news, show prep, and consolidated information about Texas Music which is why Texas Music Daily was born to fill that gap.

Greg Sax, a 2020 inductee of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, began his career in radio before transitioning to work with notable labels such as Atlantic Records Nashville, RCA Records Nashville, Big Machine Records, Virgin Records Nashville, and Show Dog Records Nashville. After an 18-year stint working for Toby Keith, which ended following Keith’s cancer diagnosis and passing, Sax shifted his focus to promoting Texas Music. Sax founded Saxis Music Group in 2023 and has built a roster of successful #1 artists, including Mitch Rossell and Matt Daniel, and has achieved chart-topping Texas hits with Bri Bagwell, Matt Castillo, Jordan Rainer, and Joey Green with more on the way!

Tami Millspaugh started her career at Arista Nashville and worked with Decca Records and Curb-Universal before transitioning to the distribution side. As the Divisional Country Marketing Manager for Universal, she developed a deep appreciation for Texas Music. She promoted artists like Robert Earl Keen, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Pat Green before founding Texas Record Chick Promotions in 2009. Over the past 15 years, Tami has worked with top Texas Music acts, including Wade Bowen, Casey Donahew, Randy Rogers, Aaron Watson, Pat Green, Whiskey Myers, Turnpike Troubadours, Mike Ryan, Kyle Park, Shane Smith and the Saints, Cody Canada and the Departed, William Clark Green, William Beckmann, and Flatland Cavalry, among others and has racked up more than 200 number one singles on the Texas Music Charts.

We have a daily email that contains articles and other information, a website as well as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and even Texas Music based playlists on Spotify so go follow us now.

Our hope is that you enjoy this fun journey with us and you will check out Texas Music….Daily! THX!

PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE!

WE WANT A CROSS CANADIAN RAGWEED REUNION TOUR FOR CHRISTMAS!

For the first time since 2011, the Cross Canadian Ragweed Facebook page has been updated with a mysterious image hinting at 2025, and fans are buzzing with speculation.

It is the 30th anniversary of this iconic Texas Red Dirt band who is trending on social media, with over 1,000 posts about them on Facebook alone. Their official website, www.crosscanadianragweed.com, features only the 2025 teaser image, adding to the intrigue.

Tami Millspaugh from TMD has been inundated with calls and texts inquiring about the situation. Millspaugh, who worked on the recent Cody Canada and the Departed singles from the Soul Gravy album in 2022, is in the dark about the latest development. Canada revisited songs from the original CCR Soul Gravy album and released updated versions under Cody Canada and the Departed. Millspaugh promoted songs "Again" and "Lonely Girl," which, despite not being radio singles in the 2004 release, topped the Texas Music charts two decades later.

With the CCR camp keeping tight-lipped, conspiracy theories are running wild.

One exciting theory from JR at the Red Dirt Rebel in Lubbock, TX, suggests that the band might reunite for their first show at The Musicfest in Steamboat this January. This theory gains some credibility from a fan's post on 95.9 The Ranch’s CCR post, which allegedly showed the band on the festival lineup. However, attempts to verify this have been unsuccessful, and the fan claims the lineup has since been removed—possibly an early leak?

Adding fuel to the fire, Robert Gallagher of Billy Bob’s posted a photo of an autographed CCR guitar with the caption “What!!!!” While many speculate that Gallagher might have inside information, he has only noted the profile picture change. Some fans are skeptical, suggesting it could be a ploy to sell merchandise.

As anticipation grows, thousands of fans are hoping for a full-fledged Cross Canadian Ragweed reunion tour rather than just a merch drop. The general consensus is clear: We’re ready to pay for a Ragweed reunion tour—take our money now!

GORDY'S HWY 30 TEXAS EDITION CANCELLED FOR 2024

The interwebs were buzzing yesterday with the announcement of Reckless Kelly pulling out of the Gordy's Hwy 30 Music Festival in Fort Worth in October.

This is supposed to be a Texas country festival, but the lineup was far from it other than a few recognizable Texas Music acts. Instead, the performers were hip-hop artists Nelly, Vanilla Ice, Hinder, Color Me Bad,Tag Team, DJ Kool, All 4 One, and DJ Skribble. Gordy's Hwy 30 Music Festival has been a big independent country artist event in Idaho since 2014 as well as up-and-coming mainstream country artists.

As of 3:30 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2024, Gordy's Hwy30 Texas Edition postponed the Fort Worth Festival with the following annnoucement on their Facebook page:

To our incredible #Hwy30 family,

As you know, we've always been the "People's Festival" from day one, and we want you to know we're listening.

After much deliberation with our team, we have made the extremely difficult decision to postpone this year's music fest in Fort Worth. While we were overjoyed to welcome so many exciting and talented artists to the stage, we want to ensure that we also take the time to slow down, regroup and come back stronger than ever in 2025.

As many of you know, Gordy has been facing some significant health challenges, and right now, his focus needs to be on rest and healing.

We know how much this event means to you all. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and unwavering support. Venue to be determined.

Ticket holders will also be emailed directly.

Stay tuned, stay safe, and we’ll see you next year!
