REMEMBERING EDNA MACKEY
We are remembering Edna Mackey, who served as our Texas Bluebonnet Chapter Office Manager from January 2019 through September 2020,

Edna was a faithful participant in the Houston Stepping Out events for many years in support of her sister, Peggy Brown. Edna is famous for the Banana Nut Bread that she made every year for the Houston Stepping Out events to donations to the Scleroderma Foundation.

Edna's sister Peggy is a scleroderma patient. Peggy served in many roles on the Texas Bluebonnet Chapter Board of Directors, including Chapter President. The same year Peggy retired from the board, Edna continued to show her support by becoming the TBC Office Manager.

Edna's HOPE RAISING page is a fitting memorial to her years of volunteering. Peggy and Edna's family requested any donatios be made on Edna's Hope Raising page to go the Scleroderma Foundation Texas Bluebonnet Chapter to support patient education, awareness of the disease and research into a cure.

As a special gift to donors from Edna's family, Edna very famous Banana Bread Recipe is posted on her HOPE RAISING page.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
& DONATIONS
We need your help to continue to offer patient support and education, awareness of the disease, and research.

Our Texas board of directors, support group leaders, and Stepping Out teams are all scleroderma patients and loved ones who volunteer their time.

We have small administrative expenses to run an office, send brochures, answer patient questions, raise awareness, advocate for patients, and provide education events, but most of all we want to cure this disease and research is the answer. Donations provide all for all these and research.

The Scleroderma Foundation was awarded the Guidestar Gold Seal of Transparency for 2020. Donations are tax-deductible.
