Open meetings law questioned with tense budgets

Although legislative committees are not bound by the 48-hour agenda notice outlined in the state open meetings law, they are required to meet in public except in extraordinary circumstances. For JFAC to have a quorum, six of ten members would have to be present.

House passes Texas-style immigration bill 

The Idaho House passed a bill in a 53-15 vote Friday that would allow local law enforcement to detain and potentially deport undocumented immigrants.
