We are proud to have launched our series of workshops “The secrets of doing business in Texas”, in collaboration with Houston Community College and SCORE Mentors. The first session “Finding, developing and maintaining relations” was a great success. Agriculture in Texas reports
On February 12th NBSO launched two reports about the opportunities for the Agriculture sector in Texas. The reports were launched in the Netherlands, in collaboration with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV). They are available online.
The Dutch in Texas: C-Job
C-Job Naval Architects is one of the largest independent ship design and engineering companies in the world. With a multidisciplinary team, they assist ship owners and shipyards during the full design scope from an initial sketch up to building supervision. They just opened an office in Houston.

Houston launches resilient city strategy
2,5 years after Hurricane Harvey, and a year of Hurricane Imelda, the city of Houston launched a strategy focused on resiliency and “Living with Water”. In this topic, the city mentioned the experience and collaboration with the Netherlands. 
Austin, Texas is the best city for work
According to a new study, Austin, Texas ranks as No. 1 US city for job market. This is the second consecutive year that Austin topped the list. The capital city also ranked in the top 5 for wage growth and 10 for job growth.

In Texas, economic development efforts occur at all levels. School districts, municipalities, counties, specifically-designated zones and the state all offer different tools and incentives to assist small businesses.
