Making North Branch Park a Reality
A Public Park for the North Side
North Branch Park Preserve Coalition Meeting
Thursday, June 14
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
DePaul Student Center Room 314
2250 N. Sheffield Ave.

Learn about the growing coalition in support of the much-needed North Branch Park Preserve. Learn how true public open space can ease development pressures and provide multi-use open space to our park-starved area as well as link to the city riverfront park system.

Looming development is bringing a potential daytime population of 50,000 people to the Lincoln Yards project where Sterling Bay now also proposes a 20,000 seat stadium and a large entertainment complex. Not one foot of the proposed redevelopment of the entire North Branch Industrial Corridor is publicly-owned parkland.

Come to the meeting and learn about what you can do to support the creation of this park for us, our children, and grandchildren.

Yard Waste Pick-Up
Don't Sweep Leaves into the Gutters
Bag Them and call 311

In an effort to assist residents in clearing their yards, parkways and storm drains of debris, the Department of Streets and Sanitation has implemented a coordinated collection of yard waste debris across the City.
Residents can call 311 to request separate bagged yard waste collection service throughout the season, which runs April to November.

Yard waste should be bagged separately and left in the alley or at the curb, outside of black garbage carts and blue recycling carts for pickup. Yard waste and other debris should not be thrown into the blue recycling cart as it contaminates the recycling stream. A dedicated DSS truck will collect yard waste based on 311 requests and take the bags to be composted in an effort to increase diversion from landfills.
