Have you always wanted to learn authentic Thai Massage but, didn't have the time or resources to fly to Thailand for training?
Advanced Bodywork Training, a division of Zion Massage College, located in Southern Utah, has partnered with ITM, Chiang Mai so that you can recieve the same certification and learn the exact same methodology, techniques and practices, which are taught at the International Training Massage School in Chiang Mai Thailand.
The 3-day Intensive, 30-hour workshop covers the entire Nuad-Bo-Rarn, Level 1 'Foundation of Thai Massage' course as taught by the renowned ITM school in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Level 1 Thai Massage introduces the basic principles and theories of acupoints, sen lines, Eastern energetic anatomy and physiology, Thai asanas/postures, wind gates and wai mantras. In addition, students learn the historical and spiritual contexts which have shaped the development and theories of Traditional Thai Massage.
This fantastic, foundational, 3 day training prepares the participant to perform a complete, head to toe, 1 hour Traditional Thai Massage utilizing supine, side lying, prone and seated postures. The techniques taught in Level 1 Nuad-Bo-RarnThai Massage are powerful and meaningful enough to enhance the practice of both beginning and seasoned massage therapists.
Participants learn to perform a complete Traditional Thai Massage sequence, using graceful and proper body mechanics, which are drawn from principles of Yoga and Tai chi. Participants learn how to work sen lines (similar to Acupressure Meridians), apply rhythmic techniques, and to relax, massage and deeply stretch their clients muscles.
In addition, participants learn to work from the core/hara and to reduce wear and tear on hands and joints by using effective body positioning, leveraging of body weight, and by utilizing elbows, knees and feet. In essence, participants will be able to give a truly healing Thai Massage which benefits both the client and the massage practitioner.
