Volunteer Appreciation Dinner highlight
May 11th 2017

Thank you to the nearly 70 volunteers and guests who joined us on May 11th for a celebration of your game changing moves that impact the lives of so many in our community.

Joe Fay, Executive Director, Richard and Sharon Holcombe and Gail Calabrese

FACETS has never met more dedicated and caring people and we are so honored to work with all of you who graciously give of your time to all of our programs, staff and program participants. Whether you know it or not, your service to people in need in this community places them in a winning position to alleviate hunger, seek services to aid in housing, employment and recovery, and to feel human in the midst of all the inhumane things they may have encountered in life. All of you are exceptional people and we thank you for  choosing to serve this community without the expectation of recognition.

Tracey Medley, Claire Campos, Josh D'Antonio, Huong Cao, Bahira Parker and RuthAnn Clay

Thank you to our Restaurant Sponsors who provided a great meal for our incredible volunteers.   Not Your Average Joe's and TGI Fridays was the talk of the evening.

April in Review
Brandywine Volunteers with a few of the ECD youth and staff

Over 90 youth in our Education and Community Development Program were overjoyed to have volunteers from Brandywine Realty Trust host our annual Field Day in April. The youth were able to play games and enjoy Chick-fil-A lunch with 20 employees who took time from their day to join us.

St. Matthew's United Methodist crew cleaning the Next Steps Family Program units

A big thank you to  St. Matthew's United Methodist Church for choosing FACETS for their congregational day of service and assisting us with cleaning the family shelter units and preparing them for future families in need. The shelter units got the special attention needed to create a warm and welcoming environment for families in Fairfax.

Parkwood Baptist members putting the final touches on the supply closet

Each year, Parkwood Baptist Church partners with FACETS for their Annual S.P.A. Day.  This year, they chose to give the Robinson Square Community Center an overdue update.  With new paint in the bathroom and a completely organized and cleaned supply closet, the youth at the community center are even happier in their space!
Support Our Programs

We need your help! Join us now to June 20th for our Spring Needs Food Drive. Our pantry is very low and we want to continue providing critical supplies such as food and household items to our neighbors in need.

If you are interested in making a food supply donation or hosting a drive, please  click here  to fill out an interest form. Donations should be delivered to our office, located at 10640 Page Avenue, Suite 300, Fairfax VA 22030, on Monday - Friday from 9 am - 5 pm. When dropping off your donation, you will be asked to fill out an  in-kind contribution form .

If you are pressed for time and can't make it out to the store, a monetary donation is just as helpful. Because of our relationship with suppliers, we can often make your donation go even further.  We will gladly accept financial donations in the form of a check to support our supply drive so that we can meet the needs of our program participants.  Checks can be made payable to FACETS with Spring Needs Drive in the memo.

For more information about our food drive, please contact Josh D'Antonio at 703-272-3710 or email  [email protected].
