Greetings!

We’ve been through a lot together over the past 21 months. The pandemic era has changed our lives. As difficult as this time has been, we at WICN are immeasurably grateful for the support from members like you, who have helped us stay strong and enabled us to make critical upgrades to our infrastructure this year, including major equipment repairs at our transmitter site; a new AudioVault automation system; and a new phone system. You hear us say it so often because it’s true: we do it all for you, but we can’t do it without you and we still need you.

Think about the endless rewards of listening to Jazz, Bluegrass, Soul, Folk, and Blues on WICN. Think about the power of jazz to create joy and bring people together for moments of awe and appreciation.

Think about the thrilling live performances from WICN’s Studio 50, our companionable hosts, hand-curated playlists, unexpected discoveries, and all the daily pleasures of time spent with us on WICN.

WICN gives you so much to think about… so much to enjoy – here’s another thing:

WICN Public Radio is a nonprofit station committed to the presentation of authentic music, preserving America’s living musical art forms for every generation to enjoy. We are honored to be the voice of arts and culture for Worcester and Central Massachusetts, and one of the last primarily jazz stations in America.

Your support directly impacts WICN’s ability to serve you and our vibrant, growing community in Central Massachusetts. It is because of your support that we’re able to deliver over 100 hours of locally produced programming every week.

WICN and our loyal members like YOU form a powerful musical ensemble – which is why your generous year-end donation now is powerfully important.

The new year holds many uncertainties, but there are still vital things we can be sure of: Jazz music will never lose its power to inspire and create joy. WICN will remain fully committed to sharing its immense pleasure with everyone in Central Massachusetts, and your support for this free public service will continue to be crucially important for this community.

Think about jazz and the wisdom of your support for jazz on WICN is clear.

“I underwent emergency open-heart surgery recently. There were many dark, scary, and painful hours during that process. When things got too scary or anxious, I put on my earbuds and listened to your station. The combination of music and the voices of the hosts that I have come to know over so many years brought me comfort, calmed me.” --WICN member John B.

Thank you so much for supporting WICN,

Sincerely,
