At Aurora Picture Show, we are thankful for every artist, guest curator, partner, school, member, sponsor, visitor, intern and board member that have made our 2013 season successful. As a valued supporter of our media arts center, we want to send a sincere thank you from the bottom of our cinema-loving hearts. We are truly grateful for your continued support, participation and enthusiasm in all things Aurora.

As we enter our 16th year together, Aurora remains committed to offering unique programming that expands minds and the appreciation of moving image art. Our popular Media Archeology Festival returns in 2014 for the 10th time and will be curated by new media expert Steve Dietz, the Artistic Director of Northern Lights in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The festival showcases three nights of experiential moving image art and live performance - an event not to be missed. Additionally, 2014 will see the expansion of our longest running festival, the Extremely Shorts Film Festival. We're allowing the younger artists to get in on the fun; Extremely Young Film Festival premieres in March!

We're particularly proud of all that happens in our Media Arts Education Department. We can't help but brag... Our Summer Boot Camps have tripled in size since 2010, enabling Aurora to expand outreach programs in our community. In March 2014 we will begin a new collaborative project with MDAnderson's Arts in Medicine program; a partnership allowing Aurora to work side-by-side with young patients as we create moving image art together. We can't wait!
