NESL Dean's Reception
Attorney Susan Castleton Ryan and Attorney Melaney G. Hodge, both alumni of New England Law | Boston, attended the 2013 Dean's Reception on November 1, 2013, which celebrated the career of the Honorable Paula M. Carey, who was recently appointed Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Trial Court.
Going to Court:  Who to Bring and Who to Leave at Home
Going to court can be an extremely stressful experience, particularly the Probate and Family Court, which deals with highly emotionally charged issues.  Often individuals wish to bring family members and/or current significant others to support them at a court proceeding.  A word of caution to those individuals! Click Here to Read More
We are Prepared for Trial!
Even though the majority of divorce cases settle before the word "Trial" is even mentioned, our office feels it is important to be prepared in the event a case does reach the point of going to Trial. Attorney Melaney G. Hodge recently had the opportunity to attend a program offered by MCLE entitled "Trying Divorce Cases." This all day program provided an in-depth analysis of the road to trial, starting at the pretrial conference through examination of witnesses. While our office's primary focus is settling prior to trial, it is important to know the office will be adequately prepared should a matter proceed to trial.

Are You Looking for a Support Group?
Has the emotional impact of your divorce left you feeling isolated? Looking for a group of likeminded individuals experiencing the same struggles as you? New Beginnings Support Group provides a safe environment to explore your feelings and express your concerns with individuals who have experienced or are currently engaged in the process. Attorney Melaney Hodge has had the opportunity to present legal discussions at New Beginnings, and finds the group provides an invaluable service. While each divorce is unique and presents different challenges, it is extremely helpful to establish a support network with individuals experiencing similar hardships.

New Beginnings meets every Monday at the Cardinal Cushing Center, 391 Washington Street, Hanover, Massachusetts, from 6:30 to 9:00. For more information, please click here.
