Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week!
Thank you for all you to do all year long to make JA JobSpark such a success!
To Our Co-Chairs:
We can't say thank-you enough to our JA JobSpark Cluster Co-Chairs for all of your hard work. We could not have a successful 2 day expo without you! Thank you for volunteering your time all year working on recruiting new members, leading monthly meetings, coordinating hands-on activities for students, recruiting volunteers, and communicating with the Junior Achievement team on the vital information needed for the event.
We appreciate you and your commitment to ensuring that your industry is well-represented by the Indianapolis community!
To our Cluster Members & Volunteers:
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to ALL of our JA JobSpark Cluster Volunteers! Our 1,400+ cluster volunteers vary from volunteering throughout the year in regular planning sessions to volunteering on one or both of the days at JA JobSpark in September. You (yes, you!) are an essential & integral piece of the pie as you plan & run experiential exhibits at JA JobSpark to help represent your career cluster and inspire students. Cluster Volunteers help define the skills necessary to succeed, identify career pathways, and communicate average annual earnings for jobs that will be in-demand when these eighth graders graduate. It is because of you that we make such a significant impact!
To our General Volunteers:
Junior Achievement would like to extend a big & sincere thank-you to all of our JA JobSpark General Logistic Volunteers! Our 200+ general volunteers make sure that everything runs smoothly over the 2 days at JA JobSpark. Whether it be out in the parking lots helping direct buses & volunteers (sometimes in terrible weather!), assisting with volunteer check-in, providing safety & security within the buildings, or running the hospitality rooms- we would not be able to have a safe & successful event without your help. At Junior Achievement, volunteers are truly the heart of the organization. Thank you!
To our Sub-Team Members:
There is a lot that happens behind the scenes in order to have a massive event like JA JobSpark. We would be lost without the help and guidance of our sub-teams! These groups get together monthly to help us plan & organize JA JobSpark so we can continue to grow & improve each year. We are so thankful for you!
Educator Sub-Team
The Educator sub-team is made up of representatives from the Central Indiana districts that attend JA JobSpark. We are so thankful to have the guidance & contribution of these educators as we plan for 10,700+ students to attend the event in September. Everything from teacher trainings, curriculum drop-off & implementation and T-shirt sizes to general advice and feedback, we would not be able to have this event without their support. It takes a village and we are so grateful.
Venue, Volunteer & Logistics Sub-Team
This committee is made up of members from our partners at Eli Lilly and Company, IU Health, Ascension-St. Vincent, Safety Management Group & BCSP. This committee works all year discussing the logistics of JA JobSpark to help create & implement necessary practices & procedures in order to keep all our volunteers and students prepared and safe! We would not be able to host such a large-scale event without them.
Marketing Sub-Team
The Marketing committee is made up of members from our partners at Indy Chamber, OneAmerica, EmployIndy, Fuel Merchandise, Hirons, & the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. This committee works all year preparing and implementing various materials and media content for JA JobSpark in September including the Student Program design & content, student T-shirts, student lanyards & passports, social media content, press releases, etc. Thank you!
