Thank you, Missouri 4th District!! I am humbled and grateful for your overwhelming support in yesterday's election and look forward to continuing to fight for you in Washington.
It is an honor to take your ideas and values to our nation's Capitol and work to get things done. We have accomplished a lot by working together: we have increased our investment in our military to shore up our national security. We have passed historic tax cuts and regulatory reform that is allowing people to keep more of their hard earned money and jumpstart our economy. We have passed legislation protecting our border from drug cartels by authorizing border patrol agents to take down rogue drones; passed legislation reforming the way FEMA delivers disaster assistance; passed legislation in the House protecting our children at school by allowing off-duty police officers to carry guns on school grounds and passed legislation giving law enforcement more tools to go after the scourge of sex trafficking.
We have stood up for our Heartland values, also, by defending religious liberty and the right to life. But we have more to do and I'm ready to get going. Republicans may be in the minority in the House but we have a friend who shares our values in the White House and a majority in the Senate and I am ready to get to work finding common ground with those across the aisle and looking for solutions to our nation's challenges while standing up for our values when needed. Thank you for believing in me and for standing with me. I appreciate everyone who cast a vote for me and for all the wonderful friends who put up a sign, walked in a parade, made a phone call, or made a contribution. It all mattered and it all made a difference!! Thank you for everything. I look forward to the many good things we are going to accomplish for our nation! Onward!
