Thank You Altar Guild Members!

THANK YOU to all members of the Altar Guild and our special helpers for all your devotion and faithfulness over
the summer  in serving at St. Paul's.

A special "thank you" to our Sacristans: Tara Welty, Valerie Thomas, Tracy Thomas (serving at  8:00 am),  Alenda Jackson, Dee Doherty, Del Milander and Judy Elliott for (serving at  10:15 am ).

During the week, we have Anne Simet serving  on Mondays, Kathy Reiss on Tuesdays, Del Milander on Wednesdays,  Reid Heffner, Alenda and Judy on Thursdays, and Alan  Blackburn serving on Fridays.

Also, special thanks to Michael Bonilla who is a "linen steward," along with Kim O'Connell. Michael  also loves to polish silver, so his special gift is put to good use!

Interested in joining the Altar Guild?
There are many small  jobs that need doing on an occasional basis, so if you are interested, please speak to Del or Judy.

Calling all St. Paul's Parish Families

As a "Welcome Gift" for Jamie Fetz, Rev. Derrick Fetz's wife, a request is going to all cooks, bakers and collectors of recipes to send in your favorite recipes to the church office.

We would like to assemble a recipe box full of favorites, whether they are old family goodies, creations of your own, proven dishes from magazine or newspaper articles. Submit as many as you like!

Please write your recipes on 3"x 5" cards, including your name. You can put them in Sunday's collection basket, drop them off or mail to Teresa at the church office.
(4 Cathedral Park, Buffalo 14202)

Please submit your recipe cards by the first weekend in September.

Our "Welcome Gift" will be presented to the Fetzes at their "Welcome Reception" on  Sept. 9th
Welcome Reception

We had a wonderful celebration and farewell for Will & Ronnie. Thank you so much for all of your donations, time and effort to make it a success.

Now we are entering a new chapter in St. Paul's story as we welcome Rev. Derrick and his family soon.

Cathedral Life Committee is planning a lunch with sandwiches, side dishes and desserts after the 10:15 service on their first Sunday, which is Sept. 9th.

We are asking for your help to show them a warm welcome and to bring a dish for this special welcome reception.

Please email Sue Heyer what you plan to bring.   sueh267@roadrunner.com
Our New Dean wants to get to know YOU before he arrives!

The Cathedral's patron saint, St. Paul, is notorious for his letters, known as epistles. All are invited to honor and live out the spiritual contributions of our patron saint by sending an epistle to Derrick. You can relay highlights from your life story or whatever you wish as a way for Derrick to become more familiar with the people called St. Paul's Cathedral.

Some possible questions to reflect on & answer:
1) Why are you part of the St. Paul's community?
2) How is God enriching your life by being connected
     to the St. Paul's community?
3) Who inspires you within the community and beyond?
4) What are your hopes for St. Paul's future?

You can send your note in a couple of ways:

Private Message via Facebook:
Send a Friend Request to Dean Derrick Fetz
Stay tuned for additional opportunities to
connect with Derrick on social media!

Every first Sunday of the month, an Ecclesia volunteer will come to SPC to collect sandwiches and take them to Fireman's Park for Buffalo's "Street Angels."
