OCTOBER 2022: AGENCY HIGHLIGHTS

OPEN YOUR PURSE FOR CHANGE

"We were so excited to be able to offer a sit-down luncheon inside again this year! Our goal was to increase awareness about domestic violence, educate our guests on what the Montgomery County Women's Center does and raise much-needed funding for their efforts. Our shelter continues to be packed every night, and the domestic abuse hotline calls have increased dramatically since the pandemic. We were delighted with the turnout this year and are excited to announce that we surpassed our 2022 goal!" -Ally Seder, Elvira Graham & Andrea Byrd (Event Co-Chairs)

FLOWERS ON THE LAKE

Many heartfelt thanks to the community members, partner organizations, community leaders, and elected officials who attended the third annual Flowers on the Lake. The weather was perfect, and the experience was unforgettable! With so many people from all walks of life attending and placing the flowers on the lake, this event was a powerful declaration of support for victims and survivors of domestic violence in Montgomery County. Thank you!
