Preventing a Crisis From Becoming a Catastrophe
Manuel has been a resident of Frisco and working as a medical assistant for more than 13 years. Unfortunately, like many of our neighbors, Manuel found himself suddenly and unexpectedly unemployed.

“I hoped that it wouldn’t last long... my wife and I had put some money aside, but still my first concern
was about providing food for my family and paying
our other bills if I could not find another position
right away,” he stated.
Manuel shared how relieved he felt that Frisco Family Services was there to help, and that he was able to shop for food at the Frisco Family Services Market until he could once again take care of everything his family needed.

“With my immediate worry taken care of, my wife and I were able to
use our existing funds for other expenses.”

With a clearer mind provided by the support and assistance he received from Frisco Family Services, Manuel could put a direct focus on his job search. His efforts paid off - in December, he found a new job in his chosen field.

“I can’t thank Frisco Family Services and this community enough for
preventing what was a bad situation from becoming
a catastrophe for me and my family."
