The October 8 issue of the Aiken Standard featured an article about the $5,000 donation made by the Garden Club of Aiken to the Friends of the Aiken County Library, to be used for new landscaping as part of the library’s major renovation.
The gift will be funded by the Club’s holiday greenery sale conducted between now and October 24.
“The Friends of the Library are grateful to the Aiken Garden Club for all it has done in maintaining landscaping near the library front entrance for many years. This generous gift will continue that tradition and fund new landscaping near the front steps when the renovation is completed.” said Friends President Bill Reynolds.
Reynolds encouraged all Friends members to purchase their holiday greenery from the Garden Club of Aiken.
