The final session of the Reading Buddies Program at Fletcher-Maynard Academy took place on May 22 with a last day celebration! Check out some of the books gifted to 1st grade buddies and the adorable cards the students made for their Reading Buddies!

The Volpe Center welcomed the Kennedy-Longfellow Reading Buddies for their final session of the program on May 28. Thank you to all of our Volpe Reading Buddies for developing such special connections with their 2nd and 3rd grade buddies. CSV is also incredibly grateful to the Kennedy-Longfellow School for its commitment to harnessing the community to benefit these young students. We have valued your partnership over the past 27 years.

The Friends of Kennedy-Longfellow and The K-Lo Transition Advisory Committee are planning a series of "Good Goodbye" events to commemorate the final chapter of K-Lo's story, as it closes at the end of the school year. They are creating a Memory Book for families and staff to celebrate their time together and would love to include memories from as many members of the larger K-Lo community as possible!

If you are a current or past K-Lo volunteer, please consider contributing in one of the following ways:

• Post a note on the Kennedy-Longfellow Kudoboard;
• Submit a 1-2 sentence memory and/or picture(s) to the Advisory Committee via the Friends of K-Lo at FriendsOfKLo@gmail.com by Wednesday, June 4th.

The NetPals Program ended the school year with school visits to RAUC, PAUS and CSUS! Students presented science fair projects or engaged in hands-on activities with their STEM NetPals. Thank you to all of our amazing NetPals, teachers and students for another successful year of the NetPals Program!

CSV will be at the Cambridge Arts River Festival again this year! Come out and enjoy the showcase of food, arts, crafts, immersive art experiences and multiple stages of live music, dance, poetry and theater. Stop by our booth, say hi and check out all of our volunteer opportunities for the 2025-2026 school year!
