Happy Tails
Zeus (formally Lodi) is settling right in with his new family.

Adopter Nathan sent us the following update:

"He has been amazingly patient and attentive. He is very smart and loves to play with the kids. He also sleeps with his stuffed teddy bear ... big softy that he is. We are working on his manners when meeting other dogs (he's still too excitable) and with his commands when out for runs and walks. We are super happy to have him in our family! To the staff of the Stockton Animal Shelter and all the SSPA staff: Thank you all for everything you do."

Thank you so much, Nathan, for giving this wonderful boy such a great home!
Willy is loving life in his forever home!

Adopter Emily said, "Just wanted to say thank you for Willy. He's such a great dog. He's so happy that he gets to go freely between my dad's house and ours so he's never alone. He goes to Folsom Lake each morning and loves sniffing the world. We are still trying to figure out his tummy issues, but he's now a beefy 72 pounds! Thanks again for all your hard work."

Thank you, Emily, for giving this beloved boy the best life!
Bodhi (formerly Bo) is doing great in his forever home!

Adopter Caldonia said, "He is doing really wonderfully and I think he has reached the 'L' word part of his adoption. We certainly have. He's a water dog and has learned to carry multiple toys in his mouth at once. He's not sure whether squeaker toys or balls are his favorite. He is an expert endurance guy already walking multiple hours in one go. Also, as fast as a bullet when he has a wide-open space to really let it all out. He has made friends with a giant schnauzer and has gained a few pounds. We're learning to not eat bees and still needs some reminding that all food is not for him. He is a huge cuddle bug and a fast learner. Next up is off leash training because just like us he is the biggest fan of being outside and spending as much time there as possible."

Thank you, Caldonia, for giving this cutie pie such a wonderful life!
Don’t forget: If you adopted through SSPA, we offer post-adoption counseling to help with your new dog’s transition into your home! Email sspadogs@gmail.com! You can send "Happy Tails" updates there as well!
