This is the last weekend in February to run to Wegmans and stock up on your Ithaca Beer Co. favorites while giving back! Thank you to Ithaca Beer Co. and Wegmans for partnering with UWTC to make an impact in our community!

We had a great time celebrating with so many of our friends and neighbors! We send our sincere thanks to our event sponsors, Visions Federal Credit Union and Coughlin & Gerhart LLP, for making this event possible! The team at Coltivare once again outdid themselves, providing amazing food, drinks, and service! Fall Creek Brass Band, presented through the support of CFCU Community Credit Union, kept the energy up all evening with a great mix of original tunes and popular favorites. Our evening wouldn’t have been as successful as it was without our celebrity bartenders who kept the drinks and tips flowing. Last, but not least, we want to give a huge thank you to everyone who joined us, bought raffle tickets, or tipped our celebrity bartenders! Your generous support of our Tompkins County community is so appreciated. It was a night to remember!

As someone who is still fairly new to this community, starting my career here with United Way of Tompkins County has been an amazing opportunity to get to know so many community members. I have always been passionate about connecting with others in new ways and working for an organization that is making a difference in people's lives. In my role of Director of Resource Development, I get to meet different people every day and really see how the work UWTC is doing impacts our community.

United Way of Tompkins County is committed to not only raising funds to support over 60 local agencies, but we are also dedicated to making real connections with people living and working in Tompkins County. The work being done here impacts every community member so it is very important to me to get out into the community and have real conversations with real people. This gives us the chance to see not only where people feel the biggest need is in the community but also to come up with new ways to meet those needs. We have had so many fun and creative ways to connect with community members this year, whether it be the Workplace Campaigns, Coffee Crawls, Wine and Dine, or Mardi Gras. I have really enjoyed engaging with community members and partners and working collectively to raise funds to meet community needs.

This community includes so many people who care and work hard to improve the lives of everyone living in it. It is truly inspiring to see how many volunteers, partners, donors, and members come together to do the critical work needed in Tompkins County. If we haven't connected yet, we would love to come together and find more creative ways to help those around us. Thank you to everyone who has engaged with us so far. We have come a long way but there is still work that needs to be done! I can't wait to see what we can accomplish with you all this year.
