Thank you for a Great Season!
People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some of us, it offers the chance to give something back to our community or make a difference to the people around us. For others, it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation, what unites us all is that we find it both challenging and rewarding.
So, with that said, THANK YOU-- for sharing your skills and knowledge to help improve the lives of seniors, youth, veterans and disabled across Minnesota and Wisconsin. But, most of all thank you for your kindness, care and love and for being the inspiration our clients need. So many of our guests are often forgotten and lost in life. We have the opportunity to help find them, and help them find themselves through our serving.

You make it possible!
A Message From the Chairman
I want to thank you all personally and from the Let’s Go Fishing Board of Directors-- for what you all do to deliver and grow our mission.

Our organization served almost 13,000 guests this past season. That resulted in over 13,000 smiles and memories. 13,000 stories and laughs to get us, and our guests through the winter. 13,000 guests that can’t wait for next spring to do it again!

Most importantly, 13,000 people had some sunshine and camaraderie brought into their world and their lives enriched, even if only for a few hours. Without you we would not have an organization to do that, and you all make us who and what we are -- Let’s Go Fishing-- a truly wonderful organization.

Volunteer Recruitment
The off-season (winter months) is a great time to recruit new volunteers.

Recruiting volunteers can be active or passive. Passive recruiting is a way of getting the name of the organization and its program out into the community, and occasionally it will bring in a volunteer. Active recruiting brings the recruiter directly into contact with potential volunteers.

Contacting churches, clubs and fraternal groups and approaching corporations or businesses are great options to recruit volunteers. Some businesses are always looking for community involvement opportunities for their employees.

And... don’t forget to reach out to the young people in your area. By doing so, you benefit from their skills and ideas, and you also contribute to training the next generation of volunteers!
Central Office
I wanted to say "Thank You" to everyone for a fantastic season. We served almost 13,000 clients in 2022 ---that's up over 3,000 from our comeback year (2021). When I have all the numbers put together, I will make sure I get those out to everyone.

September marked my 8th year with Let's Go Fishing and I am so thankful this door opened for me all those years ago. I feel proud to work for such a great organization and I have been able to work some pretty amazing people too!

It always seems like the winter drags out here in the Midwest and especially since the chapters shut down. I am always in the office, everyday and answer the phone or respond to emails so please feel free to contact me anytime. Again, THANK YOU for a great season. Looking forward to next year already!
