Dear District 113 Students and Families,
Thank you for a remarkable year! As we close the 2024–2025 school year, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for your support, partnership, and the many ways you’ve contributed to our school community. I’m especially grateful for the warm welcome you’ve extended to me in my first year as Superintendent—it has truly been an honor to join District 113.
This past week’s graduation ceremonies were a powerful celebration of our students’ resilience, achievements, and bright futures. Watching our seniors walk across the stage reminded us all of the importance of this work and the strength of the communities that support each student’s journey.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to share that the Board of Education will soon vote on a new strategic plan, one shaped by your voices and built on our shared commitment to cultivate passion, unlock potential, and inspire excellence for every learner. While much of the work to prepare for the implementation of the strategic plan will continue over the summer, now is the time to pause, reflect, and celebrate.
District 113 is a special place because of you. I wish you and your families a summer filled with rest, joy, and well-earned relaxation.
With gratitude,
Dr. Chala Holland
Superintendent of Schools
