2023 Phoenix Award Recipients

Congratulations to the 2023 Phoenix Award Winners! The awards reflect the progression of brownfield redevelopment over the past 20+ years by recognizing extraordinary practitioners and projects. What was once a niche activity has grown into a practice area of its own with public, private, and nonprofit practitioners across the country focused solely on brownfields as an essential function of planning, economic development, environmental quality, and community development.

Brownfields 2023 Poster Gallery Winners

The Poster Gallery offers a venue to visually depict innovative practices (brownfields assessment, cleanup, redevelopment), share brownfields success stories, and present research findings. Posters were displayed in the Exhibit Hall for the duration of the conference, and featured an award for the Best Overall Poster and a People’s Pick Award voted by conference attendees.

Brownfields 2025 - Where to Next?

The date and location for Brownfields 2025 have not yet been selected. It will be announced in our newsletter and on our website, and by EPA.

If you are interested in bringing the next Brownfields Conference to your city, alert your local tourism board or convention center to our soon-to-be-released RFP on icma.org/requests-for-proposals.
